Responsibilities:
As a Senior PHP/Laravel Developer & Team Lead, you will:
- Lead RapidCents’ core system: Oversee the development, maintenance, and scaling of the entire RapidCents codebase and DevOps infrastructure.
- Full-stack development: Build and maintain web applications using PHP Laravel and modern front-end technologies like React.js or Next.js.
- DevOps and cloud infrastructure: Manage deployment and infrastructure using Kubernetes, Docker, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring high availability and reliability.
- System integration: Implement and manage asynchronous communication and messaging systems like Kafka.
- Team leadership: Mentor and manage a team of developers, conducting code reviews, defining best practices, and driving a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Problem-solving: Debug and resolve complex system issues while optimizing application performance.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally to define, design, and deliver features that align with RapidCents’ strategic goals.
- Security and compliance: Implement and maintain robust security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Continuous improvement: Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying them to enhance systems and processes.
Skills & Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you will need:
- Extensive experience in PHP and Laravel: Proven track record of building scalable and secure applications.
- Front-end proficiency: Advanced skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and UI frameworks like React.js or Next.js.
- Database management: Expertise in MySQL and familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
- DevOps expertise: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud environments like GCP.
- Kafka and messaging systems: Strong understanding of Kafka for event-driven architecture.
- Version control and CI/CD pipelines: Expertise with Git and implementing CI/CD workflows for streamlined development.
- Leadership experience: Demonstrated ability to lead development teams, mentor junior developers, and manage project timelines effectively.
- Security and compliance: In-depth understanding of data security, encryption, and industry compliance standards.
- Strong communication skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders across various departments.
