Welcome to RapidCents.com, operated by RapidCents INC. (“RapidCents”, “we,” “us,” “our”). RapidCents is committed to protecting your privacy. This document (the “Privacy Policy” or “Policy”) sets forth RapidCents’s privacy practices and the possible uses of the information that it gathers via your use of RapidCents.com, and any RapidCents web application(s) or mobile application(s) that refer to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Services”).

The Services are offered as a technology to allow online business and organizations take online payments.

INFORMATION COLLECTED

When you use any of the Services, we may collect information as disclosed below.

Personal Information

We may collect personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) from you in a variety of ways including, but not limited to, when you use, navigate, and/or complete forms on the Service as well as in connection with other activities, services, features, or resources we make available. Personal Information may include, without limitation, first and last name, email address, postal address, telephone number, IP address, and Social Security Number. You may also be asked to provide additional information to confirm your identity for password establishment, re-setting, and other purposes.

If you are a Merchant and represent an organization, we may also collect your organization’s name, and federal taxpayer identification number and other legal business verification documents.

Usage Information

When you use the Service, we may collect additional information from you that may not, by itself, reasonably identify you as the source (“Usage Information”). Usage Information may include, without limitation, information regarding your computer, the type of internet browser you are using, the location from which you are visiting the Service, the type of computer operating system you are using to access the Service, the domain name of the website from which you linked to the Service, the internet service provider utilized, or the areas of the Service you visited and the actions you performed on the Service. We will take reasonable measures to ensure that the Usage Information we collect is not personally identifiable and may not later be easily used to identify you as otherwise required by applicable law.

Financial Information

When Consumers make Transactions via the Services, Consumers are required to provide payment card information – including, but not limited to credit card number, expiration date, and billing address. We transmit that information to a payment processor. The payment processor is a third-party company, external to us. The web pages of the Service where the information is collected, as well as all transmissions to the third-party processor, are encrypted with an SSL certificate. We do not store complete payment information on our Site, but may store reference information such as the last four digits of a credit card number and/or the expiration date. When using a credit card for Transactions, information you submit through the payment processor is outside the scope of this Privacy Policy. Any Transactions made to a Merchant via RapidCents and the Services shall be subject to RapidCents’s payment facilitator or payment processor’s rules, available at:

Children Under 13 Years of Age

The Service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not market to and do not knowingly collect any Personal Information from or about a child under the age of 13 without the consent of the child’s parent or legal guardian. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13 years of age, we will promptly take all reasonable measures to delete such information from our systems.

HOW INFORMATION IS COLLECTED

We collect Personal Information and Usage Information (collectively, “Your Information”) through various means including:

Directly From You

RapidCents provides various pieces of information (“Informational Services”) on the Service, which can be accessed by individuals who register to use the services (“Registration”). During Registration, RapidCents will collect Personal Information you voluntarily provide us.

We may also collect Your Information when you make a Transaction, request information or services, interact with us, contact us, or make other inquiries on the Services.

Through Your Use of the Service

We record Usage Information that your browser transmits when you visit the Service. RapidCents also may collect Usage Information through the use of common information-gathering tools such as cookies and web beacons. A cookie is a small string of text that a website can send to your browser which helps the website remember and customize your visit. You have the option to delete or decline cookies by changing your browser’s settings. No Personal Information is stored in these cookies.

Web beacons are single-pixel, electronic images embedded in the Service and in our emails that allow us to gather information about your activities on the Service including browsing, click-tracking, viewing, and buying activity. No Personal Information is transmitted in these web beacons. We may also collect information from your interaction with the Service, such as statistics in connection with page views, IP address, and standard web log information.

Mobile GPS

When browsing the Service through a mobile phone or mobile application, we may attempt to collect your location through GPS in order to pair you with nearby churches and not-for-profit organizations for transaction purposes.

In some instances, you may be permitted to allow or deny such uses and/or sharing of your device’s location. For example, when you download a Service (including mobile application) on your device, you may have the opportunity to state that you would like to share your location.

For information about opting out of location-based services, please refer to settings in your device settings.

Please be aware, however, that certain features of the Services may be unavailable if your device is not set to support or enable location-based services.

USE OF INFORMATION COLLECTED

We use Your Information for various general purposes to help enhance your experience. These purposes include, but are not limited to:

Direct Marketing

By providing Personal Information on the Service during Registration, you consent to RapidCents’s use of your Personal Information for marketing purposes. If you do not wish to receive marketing communications from RapidCents, you may unsubscribe in the marketing email or communication sent to you by following the instructions in that communication.

“Contact Us” or Troubleshooting

We may use Your Information provided using the “Contact Us” feature of the Service to contact you to discuss your concerns or interests in RapidCents’s products and services. We may also use Your Information to provide customer support or troubleshooting in connection with your use of our products or services.

Mailing Lists

By registering to use RapidCents’s services or purchasing products and services, you will be added to RapidCents’s Weekly Wallet Summary mailing list or other mailing lists that we provide for your convenience. You may unsubscribe from RapidCents’s mailing lists at any time by clicking on the opt-out line at the bottom of each E-newsletter or by contacting us at [email protected].

Combination

We may, on occasion, combine Your Information collected through the Service with information that we collect from other sources.

DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION

RapidCents will not sell, trade, or rent your Personal Information. We may disclose Your Information to our trusted affiliates, as well as third-party partners, as follows:

(a) Service Providers

 Your Information may be shared with third-party service providers that assist RapidCents in transferring transactions to entities or similar customer services.

(b) Law Enforcement, Safety, and Legal Processes

Your Information may be shared with law enforcement or other government officials if it relates to a criminal investigation or alleged criminal activity. We may also share Your Information if required or permitted to do so by law, for fraud protection and credit risk reduction purposes, or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to protect and defend the rights, property, or users of the Service. We may further share Your Information to act under urgent circumstances to protect the safety of our employees or a member of the public, or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.

(c) Sale or Acquisition of Assets

If RapidCents becomes involved in a transaction involving the sale of its assets, such as a merger or acquisition, or if RapidCents is transferred to another company, RapidCents may disclose and/or transfer Your Information as part of the transaction. If the surviving entity in that transaction is not RapidCents, the surviving entity may use Your Information pursuant to its own privacy policies, and those policies may be different from the Policy.

(d) Disclosures of Aggregated Data

 RapidCents may de-identify and aggregate the information we receive from our Service’s users (“Aggregated Data”) and share the Aggregated Data with authorized third parties for any purpose. Aggregated Data will not identify you or any other individual by name or any other unique identifier, and such data is not considered Personal Information under the Policy. For example, we may share Aggregated Data with educational institutions or research organizations that are studying trends in charitable giving. We may also share Aggregated Data with other not-for-profit organizations to assist them as they develop new products or services. Further, we may share Aggregated Data with third parties who will evaluate our users’ preferences regarding our products, services, and marketing practices. RapidCents will restrict any third parties to whom we transfer Aggregated Data from attempting to re-identify or otherwise misuse the data.

(e) Academia

RapidCents may enter into relationships with academic institutions and other research organizations to perform research and insights into data uploaded through the use of the services.

(f) General Marketing

 We may transfer Your Information to third parties whose practices are not covered here if such third parties wish to market products or services to you.

SPAM

RapidCents does not participate in bulk email solicitations that you have not consented to receiving (i.e., “spam”). RapidCents does not sell or disclose client lists or email address lists to unrelated third parties. Except as otherwise provided herein, RapidCents does not share Personal Information with any third-party advertisers. However, RapidCents may share Aggregated Data with third-party advertisers, but this aggregated anonymous information cannot be matched with you personally unless you voluntarily share your Personal Information with the third-party advertisers.

PROTECTION OF YOUR INFORMATION

Unfortunately, no data transmitted over or accessible through the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while RapidCents attempts to protect all of Your Information, RapidCents cannot ensure or warrant that Your Information will be completely secure from misappropriation by hackers or from other nefarious or criminal activities, or in the event of a failure of computer hardware, software, or a telecommunications network. RapidCents will notify you in the event we become aware of a security incident involving your Personal Information stored by or for us (as defined and required by the applicable state and federal laws). By disclosing your email address to us for any reason, you expressly consent to receive electronic notice from us in the event of such a security incident.

THIRD PARTY LINKS

The Service may contain links to websites not affiliated with RapidCents. Your use of an external website or any informational content found on an external website is subject to and governed by the terms and guidelines of that website. RapidCents does not endorse or make any representations or warranties concerning, and will not in any way be liable for, any informational content, products, services, software, or other materials available on an external website, even if one or more pages of the external website are framed within a page of the Service. RapidCents is not responsible for the privacy practices of any external website.

Special Promotions: Free POS Terminal for Life – 10-Year Anniversary Offer

As part of our 10-Year Anniversary, RapidCents is offering eligible merchants a free payment terminal for as long as they remain active users of our Services (“Offer”). The following Terms and Conditions (“Offer Terms”) form part of, and are subject to, this Privacy Policy and the Merchant Agreement (together, the “Agreement”).

By accepting and using the Equipment provided under this Offer, the merchant (“Merchant”) agrees to the following:

1. Eligibility

1.1 The Offer is available exclusively to Merchants who maintain an active merchant account with RapidCents and process payments solely through RapidCents (“Services”).
1.2 The Merchant must not engage or maintain merchant accounts with any other payment processors, acquirers, or service providers while utilizing the terminal.
1.3 The Offer is non-transferable and may only be applied to the Merchant’s own account.

2. Loaning the Equipment

2.1 RapidCents shall provide the Merchant with a payment terminal (the “Equipment”) on a loan basis.
2.2 The Equipment shall remain the sole and exclusive property of RapidCents at all times.
2.3 The Merchant may use the Equipment only for the purpose of processing payments through RapidCents Services.

3. Commencement of Use

3.1 The Merchant must activate and begin processing transactions with the Equipment within five (5) business days of receipt.
3.2 Failure to commence usage within this period may result in revocation of the Offer.

4. Maintenance and Replacement

4.1 RapidCents shall be responsible for repair or replacement of the Equipment in the event of technical malfunction or failure not caused by misuse or negligence of the Merchant.
4.2 Normal wear and tear is covered under this Offer.
4.3 The Merchant shall be responsible for any loss, theft, damage, or unauthorized use of the Equipment. In such cases, RapidCents may charge the Merchant for repair or replacement at its discretion.

5. Continued Usage Requirement

5.1 The Offer remains valid only so long as the Merchant consistently processes transactions through RapidCents Services.
5.2 Inactivity for a continuous period exceeding sixty (60) days shall constitute a breach of the Offer Terms and may result in termination of the Offer.
5.3 Upon termination, the Merchant shall promptly return the Equipment to RapidCents in good working condition, subject to ordinary wear and tear.

6. Termination and Return of Equipment

6.1 The Offer shall automatically terminate upon the Merchant’s cessation of Services with RapidCents, voluntary closure of the merchant account, or breach of these Offer Terms.
6.2 Upon termination, the Merchant must return the Equipment within ten (10) business days of request by RapidCents.
6.3 Failure to return the Equipment may result in applicable charges for the replacement value of the Equipment.

7. General Provisions

7.1 RapidCents reserves the right to amend, modify, or discontinue this Offer at any time, provided that such amendments shall not retroactively affect Merchants already participating in the Offer unless the Merchant is in breach of these Offer Terms.
7.2 These Offer Terms are supplemental to the Agreement and shall prevail over any conflicting provisions therein with respect to the Offer.
7.3 Capitalized terms not otherwise defined herein shall have the meaning ascribed to them in the Agreement.

Success Guarantee – Eligibility & Data Use

RapidCents offers a Success Guarantee program only to Qualified Merchants. If you choose to be evaluated for this program, we will collect and process certain business information to verify eligibility and to calculate potential savings.

Eligibility (Qualified Merchants)

To qualify, you must:

  1. Provide processing history: Supply twelve (12) consecutive months of merchant processing statements for the merchant account(s) you wish to enroll.

  2. Meet minimum processing volume: Operate at least two (2) active merchant accounts or locations (under the same ownership) that each process a minimum of USD $10,000 per month in card volume.

  3. Verification: Eligibility determinations are made by RapidCents in its sole discretion based on the documentation you provide and other lawful verification methods.

Information We Collect for the Success Guarantee

In addition to your business contact details, we may collect and analyze: processing statements (including monthly volumes, fees, interchange, assessments, chargebacks, refunds), merchant IDs, location information, and related operational metrics solely to (a) confirm eligibility, (b) estimate savings/benefits, and (c) administer the program.

MODIFICATIONS

The Policy was last modified on the date printed below. RapidCents reserves the right to update the Policy from time to time in our sole discretion, and you should check this page periodically for changes. RapidCents will provide notification of material changes to the Policy through the Service at least thirty (30) days prior to the change taking effect. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review the Policy periodically and become aware of modifications.

TEXT MESSAGE (SMS) OPT-IN AND OPT-OUT

Opt-In

By providing your mobile phone number to RapidCents Inc., you expressly consent to receive promotional, informational, or other text messages (SMS) from us to that number. Standard messaging rates may apply based on your mobile phone plan. Participation is not a condition of purchase.

Frequency

The frequency of text messages may vary. RapidCents Inc. does not guarantee a set number of messages per month.

Opt-Out

At any time, you may revoke your consent and opt out of receiving further SMS messages by replying “STOP” to any message received from RapidCents Inc. After sending the “STOP” message, you will receive one final message from RapidCents Inc. confirming your opt-out request. No further messages will be sent unless you opt back in.

For assistance or more information about our text messaging, reply “HELP” to any message received from RapidCents Inc. or contact our customer service available below.

Changes to this Clause

RapidCents Inc. may amend this clause at its discretion. Any changes will be communicated to users in advance and continued use of the service after such changes will constitute acceptance.

Data

By opting in, you acknowledge and agree that your data, including your phone number and the content of the messages, will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Liability

RapidCents Inc. is not responsible for any charges from a mobile carrier or any damages related to the receipt or non-receipt of SMS messages.

ACCESSING & UPDATING INFORMATION

If you ever wish to access Your Information or to have Your Information deleted, updated, changed, or modified, you may do so by contacting RapidCents by email at [email protected]. To cancel your account and have Your Information returned to you, please contact [email protected]. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to handle requests to update or modify Your Information within thirty (30) days.
