Awards

Industry recognition is listed here only where it can be checked: a published result, a date and the body that issued it. Three qualify — CIO Awards Canada 2026 and 2025, both issued by IDC Canada, and a Canadian Choice Award for 2026. Badges and rankings are inexpensive to acquire in payments, and several well-known ones are paid placements or self-nominated lists. Better evidence for a buyer is duller: an interchange-plus statement you can decompose, PCI attestation covering the processing environment, a published subprocessor list, and a comparable merchant reference.

In detail

  • Evidence or nothing

An entry appears here only with a published result, a date and the issuing body attached, so a reader can verify it independently rather than take the listing as the source.

  • What is not published

Paid placements, self-nominated lists and badges that cannot be traced back to a named issuer and a date. Leaving the page short is preferable to filling it with those.

  • Better evidence for a buyer

An interchange-plus statement you can decompose, PCI attestation covering the processing environment, a published subprocessor list, and a reference from a merchant with a comparable transaction profile.

  • Ask every provider the same four

The comparison only means something if the same questions are put to each shortlisted provider, including the incumbent, and the answers are compared side by side rather than in isolation.

Awards received

Each badge links to the issuing body's own record. Dates are the public announcement or the ceremony, whichever is the citable event.

Questions about Awards

How do I check a claim made anywhere on this site?

Each kind of claim has its own evidence. A pricing claim is tested against your own statement, which is what Fee Check is for. A claim about the processing environment is tested against the Attestation of Compliance and the security statement. A claim about who else touches your data is tested against the register the subprocessors page publishes, and against the current full list, which that page sets out the route for obtaining. Ask for the evidence rather than the assurance.

Can I use the RapidCents name or logo in a comparison, a bid or an article?

The trademark notice sets out permitted use of RapidCents, APPIE and the related marks, logos and brand assets. Read it before publishing, and ask if what you intend is not clearly covered — a comparison table, an analyst brief and a partner landing page are not the same request.

What should I ask a customer reference for?

A profile close to yours: comparable volume, a similar channel mix between counter and online, a similar average ticket, and ideally a migration from the kind of provider you are leaving. A reference with a different profile answers a different question, and answers it convincingly enough to mislead you.

What evidence should I take to an internal approval?

The effective rate before and after, calculated from your own statements rather than a quoted headline rate; the attestation covering the processing environment; the subprocessor list; and the migration plan with its cutover date and what happens to stored payment methods. Those four survive a finance review better than any badge.

What awards has RapidCents won?

Three are published: CIO Awards Canada 2026 and CIO Awards Canada 2025, both issued by IDC Canada, and a Canadian Choice Award for 2026. Each badge above links to the issuing body, and the newsroom carries the same three as dated announcements. IDC publishes a record naming RapidCents Inc for both of its awards; the Canadian Choice Award issuer does not publish a per-winner page, so that link goes to the organisation and this page says so. Anything that cannot supply a published result, a date and an issuer is not listed here.
