One record per customer

See a customer’s payments, methods and history in one record

A customer profile is the single record that ties a customer's payments, refunds, disputes, stored payment methods and subscriptions into one timeline. RapidCents creates the profile the first time a customer pays or is invoiced, and staff find it by name, email or the merchant's own reference, so a billing question is answered from one screen instead of four. Permissions decide who can view or charge a profile, and stored card data is never exposed.

  • Full history per customer
  • Stored methods attached
  • Faster support answers

A RapidCents customer profile holds saved cards and invoices, so a return visit can be charged without re-keying the card.

How it works

  1. A profile is created the first time a customer pays or is invoiced.

  2. Payments, refunds and disputes attach to that profile.

  3. Stored payment methods are held against the record.

  4. Staff search by name, email or your own reference.

  5. Permissions decide who can view or charge the profile.

Questions about Customer Profiles

Is a profile created automatically?

Yes, on the customer's first payment or invoice, and it can be edited afterwards.

Can I use my own customer IDs?

Yes. Add your reference so the profile matches your CRM or booking system.

Who can see stored payment methods?

Only roles you permit, and the underlying card data is never exposed.

Does it show disputes?

Yes, disputes appear in the same timeline as payments and refunds.

Can staff charge a customer directly from their profile?

Only where two things are true: the role has permission to charge, and a payment method is on file with the customer's recorded authorization. Otherwise the profile is a record to read, not a way to take money.

Where do I see a customer's subscriptions?

On the profile. Recurring schedules attached to that customer sit in the same record as their payments, refunds and disputes, so a question about a renewal does not mean opening the billing system separately.

Can profiles line up with my CRM or booking system?

Yes. Add your own reference or account ID to the profile so the two records match, and connect them through REST APIs and signed webhooks or a certified connector for common POS, ERP and commerce platforms.

Is there a per-customer cost?

Profiles are part of the RapidCents merchant dashboard, not a per-record purchase. What is quoted is the processing on the account, interchange-plus or bundled, according to volume, card mix and configuration.
