CORRECTIONS
Corrections Policy
Report an error by emailing [email protected], calling +1 (844) 957-2743, or using the contact page, and include the page address, the sentence you believe is wrong and what the correct position is. Reports are treated the same way whoever sends them, including the providers RapidCents compares itself against. Corrections are disclosed on the page: the notice states what the page said before, what it says now, and the date. A substantive correction moves the review date; a typographical fix does not.

How corrections work
How to report an error
Email [email protected], call +1 (844) 957-2743, or use the contact page. Anyone can report an error: there is no form to qualify for, no account required and no relationship with RapidCents needed.
What to include
The page address, the exact sentence, what you believe the correct position is, and a source if you have one. A report naming the sentence can be assessed the same afternoon; a report saying a page is wrong somewhere cannot be assessed at all.
Material error — corrected as a priority
A factual claim that could change a reader’s decision: a wrong figure, a wrong description of how a fee or a rule works, a wrong statement about another provider. The standard committed to is assessment and correction — or withdrawal of the claim — on the same business day, with a correction notice published on the page.
Non-material factual error — corrected within the working week
A wrong date, a misspelled company name, a mis-cited source, or a broken reference that does not change the conclusion. The standard committed to is correction within five business days, with a correction notice wherever a reader could have relied on the wrong detail.
Typographical and formatting fixes
Spelling, punctuation, layout and link repairs are made on the next scheduled update. They carry no correction notice, do not enter the change log and do not move the review date, because they change nothing anyone relied on.
What a correction notice contains
What the page said, what it says now, the date of the change and, where it matters, why the original was wrong. It stays on the page rather than expiring after a period, because the notice is part of the page’s record.
Withdrawal, where a claim cannot be supported
If a claim cannot be substantiated it is removed rather than softened into a vaguer version of itself. Hedging language around an unsupportable claim is still the claim, and the fact-checking policy treats it as one.
Contested evidence
Where two credible sources conflict and neither resolves the other, the page states the conflict and what each source says rather than choosing silently. A comparison scoring input resting on contested evidence is marked as contested on the comparison itself.
What happens after you report an error
A report arrives by email, by phone or through the contact page, from anyone, and is logged with the page address and the disputed sentence.
Editorial acknowledges the report and classifies it as material, non-material, or typographical.
The relevant subject-matter function checks the claim against the source hierarchy in the fact-checking policy, and the original source is re-verified rather than re-asserted.
The page is corrected, or the claim is withdrawn where it cannot be supported, and a correction notice publishes on the page for anything above a typographical fix.
A substantive correction is recorded in the page change log and moves the review date, and the person who reported it is told what was found and what was done.

Questions about this policy: Corrections Policy
I am a competitor and a comparison misstates our product. What do I do?
Use the same route as anyone else: [email protected], with the page address, the sentence, and a first-party source of your own — your pricing page, fee schedule or terms — showing the correct position. A first-party source from the provider is the highest-tier evidence available for a claim about that provider, and it is what changes a comparison.
Will I be told what happened?
Yes. Whoever reported the error is told what was found and what was done, and anything above a typographical fix is disclosed on the page itself, so readers who never saw the report can still see the change.
Do you ever delete a page instead of correcting it?
Only where the entire premise cannot be supported. Where a page is wrong in part it is corrected in place, so the address keeps working, inbound links keep resolving and the correction notice stays visible. Deleting a page is also the most effective way to hide that it was ever wrong, which is not what this policy is for.
Does every correction move the review date?
No, and that is deliberate. Substantive corrections move it; typographical fixes do not. A review date that moves for a formatting change tells a reader nothing about whether the substance was ever checked.
What if I disagree with the outcome?
Reply and say why, naming the source you are relying on. Where evidence genuinely conflicts, the page can state the conflict rather than pick a side. Where a report is not substantiated, the page stands and the reasoning is given to you rather than withheld.
