Counter to stockroom
A retail POS that keeps the line moving and the stock count honest
A retail POS rings the sale, tenders the payment and keeps the stock count honest. RapidCents Retail POS scans and tenders without slowing the line, tracks inventory at item and variant level as sales and returns happen, and shows in-store and online sales in one view. Returns and exchanges reference the original transaction so a refund matches the sale, discounts, refunds and drawer access are permissioned by role, and reporting connects store sales with deposits.

Questions about Retail POS
Does it track inventory?
Yes, at item and variant level, adjusting as sales and returns happen.
Can I run more than one store?
Yes, with shared configuration and consolidated reporting.
How are returns handled?
Returns reference the original transaction so refunds match the sale.
Can I limit what staff can do?
Yes, discounts, refunds and drawer access are permissioned by role.
What hardware sits on the counter?
A RapidCents terminal takes the payment. The Rivo Go prints a receipt on the spot from its built-in thermal printer, the Rivo Touch is a slim all-screen device, and the Rivo Link adds a tactile PIN pad. Your advisor matches the device to the counter.
How is Retail POS different from Grocery POS?
Grocery POS is the same idea pushed toward long baskets: items priced by weight for produce and deli, several lanes on a shared catalogue, restricted-item prompts and day-end reconciliation built for heavy transaction counts.
Can my online store and my existing software connect to it?
Yes. In-store and online sales appear in one view, and the POS connects to your own systems through REST APIs and signed webhooks or a certified connector for common POS, ERP and commerce platforms.
How is it priced?
Hardware and processing are quoted separately: a device can be owned or rented, and processing can be interchange-plus, which itemizes the network cost, or bundled into one rate. Confirm whether the agreement is month-to-month or a term.
