Industry payment solutions in the USA

Payment workflows differ by industry in the USA. A restaurant tip, a service deposit and a B2B invoice are not the same payment. Each industry page connects the payment trigger, the exception and the record to a RapidCents product. Appearing in this directory does not approve the merchant account.

Start with the words merchants already use

Merchants search for a POS system, a card machine, payment processing or an online gateway depending on how they get paid. RapidCents matches hardware, checkout, billing and integrations to that workflow rather than selling one generic merchant package.

  • POS system

For a counter or service point that needs payments connected to staff and operations.

  • Credit and debit card machine

For a counter, mobile service, or field workflow where accepting cards is the main job.

  • Payment processing

For comparing fees, deposits, channels, and merchant-account support.

  • Online payment gateway

For checkout, payment links, recurring billing, and ecommerce integrations.

Take the next step

Talk to a RapidCents specialist

RapidCents Fee Check reads a processing statement and shows interchange separately from the markup. Upload a statement for an instant breakdown, or open a merchant account and start accepting payments on one account.

  • No obligation
  • Payment specialists, not a call centre
  • Secure statement upload

For businesses in the USA

Why U.S. industry pages differ, and what a listing does not promise.

  • Workflows are not interchangeable

A restaurant reconciling tips, a contractor taking a deposit, and a wholesaler collecting an invoice do not share one payment story. Use the industry page that matches the payment trigger. If the business does several of these, describe the actual activities rather than picking the category that sounds closest.

  • What an industry page connects

Each page should connect the moment money moves, the exception that usually follows, and the record finance needs afterwards, to a RapidCents product that can carry that workflow. It should not become a general processing page with the industry name swapped in.

  • Approval is separate

Invite the merchant to describe the real activities and the software in use. Do not imply every listed category is automatically approved for a USA account. Underwriting uses the business activities, not the menu label.

Frequently asked questions

My industry is not listed. Can RapidCents still process for me?

Usually, yes. The industry pages describe the acceptance patterns RapidCents sees most often; they are not a list of the only businesses it serves. The Acceptable Use Policy is the document that says which activities RapidCents will not process for and which need prior approval. If yours is not named anywhere, ask before you apply.

Is the pricing different by industry?

The pricing model is the same — interchange-plus, with the markup printed as its own line — but the interchange itself varies with the card mix and the way a transaction is taken, and both differ by industry. A restaurant’s rate and a wholesaler’s rate differ because their customers’ cards and their channels differ, not because the schedule does.

How do I choose an industry page when my business offers several services?

Choose from the payment workflow and the actual activities, not from the closest-sounding name. A business that invoices other businesses and also sells at a counter may need more than one page. Tell the review team what you really do.

Does appearing in the industry directory guarantee merchant approval?

No. The directory explains workflows. Approval is a separate account review. A listing is not a promise that the business, the card mix or the delivery model will be accepted.

What information helps confirm a fit for my industry?

Describe the transactions, when delivery happens, how refunds work, whether payments repeat, and which software you already use. Those facts matter more than a category label.
